Understanding John 3:16

FROM A BIBLICAL CONTEXT

Before jumping right into the text of John chapter 3 it is necessary to see how the Most High’s Prophets prescribed the way to understand the Bible.

Isaiah 28: 9,10,13  "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little…

Now that we know we must go through the Bibles precepts searching from prophet to prophet and from the Old to the New Testament, let us delve into the Holy precepts of the Most High to gain understanding on this infamous saying of Christ.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

As we dissect this verse let us take a close look at the beginning “FOR GOD SO LOVED”. The first thing to consider is Yahawashi (Christ) made a statement to another fellow from the Judah tribe in the Past Tense (loved). The next logical question should be; who did the Most High set HIS love upon?

Speaking to the children of Israel, Moses says:

Deut. 7:6-7  “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. 7 The LORD did not set HIS LOVE UPON YOU, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:”

The prophet Zephaniah speaking about the children of Israel says this:

Zeph. 3:17 “The LORD THY GOD in the midst of THEE is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over THEE with joy; he will rest in HIS LOVE, he will joy over THEE with singing.”

PRECEPTS:

DEUT. 7:6-7, 10:15; ISA. 38:17, 63: 8-9; JER. 31:3-4; ZEPH. 3:17; ROM. 9:13

It is plainly obvious that the Bible clearly says that the Most High only placed HIS love upon the chosen holy seed line of Jacob.

Now let us look deeper at a word that has many in confusion which is the word “WORLD”.

Keeping in line with the sub-title of this study “FROM A BIBLICAL CONTEXT”, it’s imperative to observe that the word “WORLD” is used in many different ways within Scripture. In fact Yahawashi himself uses this word in the same book of John in more than one way, so based upon that alone we must see what context he used them.

In John chapter 17 Yahawashi is praying to the Heavenly Father and in verse 2 we see the context of his prayer.

2 “As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give ETERNAL LIFE TO as many as thou hast GIVEN HIM.”

He is praying about a certain group of people the Father gave to the Son to give them ETERNAL LIFE. In v.6 Christ tells the Father that he manifested HIS Name to the men HE gave Christ “OUT OF THE WORLD” When we get to v.9 Christ is telling the Father that he’s praying for these men and “NOT FOR THE WORLD”

As we start to connect the Bibles precepts we start to see that the men that GOD ALMIGHTY gave Christ were in fact the WORLD that he told Nicodemus that GOD LOVED so much are in fact one and the same.

Isaiah 45:17 “But ISRAEL shall be SAVED in the LORD with an EVERLASTING SALVATION: YE shall not be ashamed nor confounded WORLD without end.”

John 18:20 “Yahawashi answered him, I SPAKE openly TO THE WORLD; I EVER taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, WHITHER THE JEWS ALWAYS RESORT; and in secret have I said nothing.”

PRECEPTS:

ISAIAH 45:17; JOHN 18:20; MATTHEW 1:21, 10:5, 15:24

So far we have seen that the Heavenly Father loves the Nation of Israel and that they are a WORLD unto themselves that Christ was sent to and were the only people he always taught.

Another overlooked phrase that Yahawashi uses in John 3:16 is “ONLY BEGOTTEN”. This is a very exclusive and endearing term used 6 times in the New Testament referring to Yahawashi. Those that seek the Most High’s Truth will eventually realize that the books commonly referred to as The Apocrypha are indeed a part of Scripture, as they were originally included in the 1611 King James Holy Bible!

Within the book of 2 Ezra (Esdras) chapter 6 the prophet explains how dear and loved the 12 tribes of Israel are to the Most High Power of Abraham Isaac and Jacob:

2 Ezra 6: 54-59  “And after these, Adam also, whom thou madest lord of all thy creatures: of him come we all, and THE PEOPLE ALSO WHOME THOU HAST CHOSEN. 55 All this have I spoken before thee, O LORD, BECAUSE THOU MADEST THE WORLD FOR OUR SAKES 56 As for the other people, which also come of Adam, thou hast said that they are nothing, but be like unto spittle: and hast likened the abundance of them unto a drop that falleth from a vessel. 57 And now, O Lord, behold, these heathen, which have ever been reputed as nothing, have begun to be lords over us, and to devour us. 58 BUT WE THY PEOPLE, whom thou hast called thy firstborn, THY ONLY BEGOTTEN, and thy FERVENT LOVER, are given into their hands. 59 If the world now be made for our sakes, why do we not possess an inheritance with the world? how long shall this endure?”

Another word in Scripture that gets mutilated by the trained Christian laymen, pastors and educators is the word “WHOSOEVER”. What most fail to realize when approaching Scripture is the fact that both Old & New Testaments/Covenants were made with one family (Rom. 9:4; Heb. 8:8).

Therefore the “whosoever” only applies to the recipients of the letter in which it was written to and in the Biblical case of GOD’s Word, Love, Promises, Covenants, Eternal Life etc. are all promised to the Nation of Israel.

For example when the Apostle Peter along with the other 11 Apostles said this:

Act 2:14, 21-22   14“But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, YE MEN OF JUDAEA, and all ye that DWELL AT JERUSALEM, be this known unto YOU, and hearken to my words: 21 And it shall come to pass, that WHOSOEVER shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22 YE MEN OF ISRAEL, HEAR THESE WORDS; Yahawashi of Nazareth, a man approved of God AMONG YOU by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him IN THE MIDST OF YOU, as ye yourselves also know:”

When trying to understand the writings in the New Testament one must UNDERSTAND that Christ was ONLY sent to his people (Matt.1:21) and he ONLY sent his disciples to the LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL (Matt. 10:5-6).

The Apostle Peter in Acts chapter 2 was quoting the prophet Joel 2:32 but before Joel wrote v.32 up in v.27 he says:

27 “And ye shall know that I am in the midst of ISRAEL, and that I am the LORD YOUR GOD, AND NONE ELSE: and MY PEOPLE shall never be ashamed.”

When Joel gets to v.32 he uses 3 different words describing Israelites which all relate to the “WHOSOEVER” that is to call on the Name of the Father for “DELIVERANCE”, “Zion”, “Jerusalem”, and “Remnant”.

PRECEPTS:

JOEL 2; ACTS 2: 21-22, 13: 22-26; ROMANS 9:33

Lastly, let us deal with “EVERLASTING LIFE” according to Scripture. As we have already seen from precept upon precept and line upon line that the Most High chose/predestined before time began a special people unto Himself for HIS own purposes. HE then chose certain men to write Divinely Inspired and Preserved Writings now referred to as the Holy Bible, Torah, Tanahk, and Old & New Testament Scriptures.

Let us see what the Israelite prophet Daniel wrote under divine inspiration:

Daniel 12:1-2  ” And at that time shall MICHAEL STAND UP, THE GREAT PRINCE WHICH STANDETH FOR THE CHILDREN OF THY PEOPLE: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time THY PEOPLE SHALL BE DELIVERED, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to EVERLASTING LIFE, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”

When you look at the very end of the Bible in the last two chapters of Revelation we see the Apostle John seeing and writing down the exact same Truth.

Getting back to the understanding of Christ’s statement in John 3:16 let us see what the same John saw and wrote concerning the People/World that the Heavenly Father loves so much that HE sent HIS Son to Restore and give them Eternal Life.

Revelation 21: 1-3,12

21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and THEY SHALL BE HIS PEOPLE, and God himself shall be with them, and BE THEIR GOD. 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the TWELVE TRIBES OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.”

Revelation 22:5

“And there shall be no night there; and THEY need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the LORD GOD GIVETH THEM light: and THEY SHALL REIGN FOR EVER AND EVER.”

PRECEPTS:

DANIEL 7: 18-28; 12: 1-2; PSALMS 41:13; ISAIAH 45:17; 60: 14-22; EZEKIEL 37: 25-26; DANIEL 7: 18-28; REVELATION 21: 1-3, 12; 22:5
